I have never put anything even remotely carpenter related in the pocket on a pair of carpenter pants

If I'm working, I'm wearing my bags. I learned long ago that every time I try to do some "little thing" involving one or two of the things out of them, I end up with ALL the shit out of them strewn everywhere. So I just put them on in the first place. Saves time and aggravation.
On the topic of knives, if I didn't constantly watch myself, I would more than likely have piles of them as well. Few things are as "nice" and useful as a well-made knife. Or even a poorly made practical knife. I carried one of the yellow delrin Case trappers for a long time, but switched about two years ago to a clip knife. Best thing ever. Got completely tired of my old knife falling out of my pocket, and the clip knife is about 17 million times easier to open.
