Old Pics

I was looking at old pics, and don't know if I've shared some of those hanging up. I love looking at old pics, so feel free to throw them in here.

This is my great, great, great grandparents on their homestead in southern Arizona (well, technically Mexico at the time, I suppose) He was a local who served as a cab scout when the buffalo soldiers were running down those damn Apaches.

This is his son (my great great grandpa), and his boy (my great grandpa). The part that cracks me up is that apparently Mexican fashion hasn't changed in about 120 years. Put a white T-shirt on him and he could be in east LA. This was also in southeastern Arizona, little before the turn of the century.

This one is my grandpa, with his B-17 in England in 1943.

And this last one is the great great grandpa and great grandpa on my mothers side. They had shiny horses and tack, and thought they were better than everyone else. This one was taken at a farm about 15 miles down the road.

Really cool Assa! My parents have a really old family picture album, we don't know who half the people are. Someone wrote in their names under the pictures, but not who they were related to. Thanks for sharing.

I've got a picture somewhere if my Great Grandfather and sans the Sam Elliot mustache, we could be twins. Neat to think about all the years passed and the genes are the genes.

Pretty cool photos AT.

Very cool, Jim. Color me jealous. I barely have any pictures of my mother much less that far back.

Me too. My great grandfather has been dead since I was 13, but my grandma points out how much I remind her of him all the time. Attitude and mannerisms.

One thing that gets me about these old pics- how the hell did they stand wearing tight, buttoned up wool clothes, and raw wool underwear? Would've drove me effing nuts.
