It happens from time to time.

Your idea of normalcy may be skewed after your term of service. You might find yourself a little impatient with the civilians and there ways. Just a heads up.
Here's to a safe journey home and the rest of your life as a civilian.

I have 3 months of civilian life then 1 weekend a month again, I still have 6 years until I can think about being done. I will relax at the farm and the lake for a few days before I jump into dealing with a multitude of people again.

Can't help it. When you get to be a short timer in the military, it's almost mandatory to have a "x days and a wake-up" count down going. I started mine 180 days out

I quit drinking any alcohol at 30 days. I noticed that many short timers didn't go home or were in pieces from celebrating the last day for one full month at the end.
That's the shits when a guy goes through everything only to bite the big one right before coming home or as soon as they get home. Stay safe and thank you Quack!
I really dont drink much over here to begin with, been more than a few people get into some pretty big trouble for the alcohol and I dont want my name thrown in the mix with them. I will drink my fill when I get home with close friends and family.
