I'll start of by saying the theory of medium can suck my butt. The theory says "don't settle on a compromise, do one or the other and find some good in it". Well as stated previously I'm not a fan of camping, but I figured I'd make the best of it. So Saturday morning we set out to go look for morels, I like looking for mushrooms. We get up the mountain to where I have picked mushrooms since I was a kid. We get to the spot we always park and there is an elderly couple there, no problem, I turn Blue around and go back down the road a couple hundred yard and park in the shade. No more than 5 to 10 minutes away from the truck we here a loud bang, it sort of sounded like a gunshot - but not really. My wifes says she thinks a tree fell and she hoped it didn't land on the truck, I laughed and said no way.
After picking mushrooms for a couple hours myself and my 2 little ones headed back to the truck to get a drink of water. This is what was waiting for me:
