Banking

Postby 3geese4me » Tue Jun 11, 2013 9:39 pm

Does anyone on here work in the banking industry? If so, could you please post up or message me. I have some questions regarding possible employment and the possibility of career advancement.

Do you enjoy fucking other people in the pocketbook? If so, banking could be the career for you.

It's unreal how many banks have bullshit charges now.

I belong to two credit unions, and in the last year the bastards been adding fees for just about everything.
$3 check cashing fee....$5 inactive account fee.....$10/month for not having a shit ton of money in my savings. I say fuck em all, I'm about ready to start filling up my sock drawer.

Was almost at a decade at a credit union. And we didn't bend people over. Started at the bottom as a teller and worked up to real estate loan processor.

Oh goodie. We have a banker now.
Before you go into the banking industry I strongly urge you to watch a two-hour utube video called " the creature from jekyll island".
Then you will fully understand the bankers role in society.
Then maybe you will understand why we hate banks.

Please tell us in your own words what benefits we all receive from the banking industry.
Take all the space you need.
We wont laugh.
Much.

I don't hate banks. I hate the federal government. Banks are simple to deal with- pay what you owe, and don't spend more than you have, and you will have zero problems. Easy-peasy.

Banks deal with these things called federal reserve notes.
Banks are pawns for the Federal Reserve System.
Just another part of the system.

Lets hear about how the bank you work at or deal with is "the friendly one".
Still waiting for my report on the virtues and benefits of the system.

I don't care if a bank is "friendly" to me or not. All I expect from a bank is to keep my money safe, and give my money to me when I want it. I've got enough friends- I don't need more at my bank. For the record, I'm with Wells Fargo, and have been since about 1993. No complaints here- no mistakes, no fees, no worries. Because I pay what I owe, and I don't spend more than I have in there. The federal government, on the other hand, may go piss up a rope.

I don't get the friendly bank thing? You mean like tellers and loan officers that are friendly or are you expecting them to be "friendly" and forget bad debt?
Banks are a business and business are about profit, why would a bank or anybody else do ANYTHING for no profit?

Yeah. What does a bank PRODUCE.
As a construction worker we are expected to produce and make profits for our employers.
As a customer at a bank we are their employers but are treated worse than employees.
Over charged at every chance.

What does a bank produce?
POWER LUNCHES!

If we went back to getting pay envelopes with cash in them.
How many of us would need or use banks? What is the interest on savings?
A small fraction of inflation. Only a fool would put money in savings.
Reflect on that a while.

We are not their employers, we are their customers. As a customer, you are free to go wherever you want. As far as what they produce, they produce security. They produce money from thin air for people to buy shit, like houses, cars, renovations, and offices. In exchange for that, you pay them interest. So what they produce is a life for anyone who wants to use them. If you don't want to use a bank, fine, don't. Nobody's forcing you. But I hope you save up $160,000 in enough time to purchase a house if you want to, or $20,000 for a new vehicle when you want one, or $30,000 to open a business if you want. Hell, put your money in a Mason jar.

All that you are required to do is pay what you owe, and not spend more than you have. How hard is that?

Federal Reserve System is a lie.
First its not Federal but is a hybrid of public and private ownership.
There is no reserve. (They simply print more)
It is not a system but is centrally controlled from New York.
Sounds remarkably like a ponsi scheme.

Watch "The Creature From Jekyll Island" to understand what the creature is...it is called The Federal Reserve System.

I already said I despise the federal government, and what they have allowed/encouraged to happen. How does what a bank does qualify them for your ire, rather than despising the entity which mandates that activity? That's like saying "I hate my electric company, because look at the EPA".

Pay what you owe, and don't try and spend more than you have in there, and I promise a bank will never cause you problems.

The irony is thick.

How many construction projects have you ever worked on that weren't financed at some level?

Those roads you drive to work? Financed.

Those hospitals you visit?
Financed.

Your groceries you buy?
Financed.

The schools your kids went to?
Financed.

Your community's fire department?
Financed.

The company that made the hammer you use?
Financed.

The company that grew the timber used to make the lumber used to build the projects you work on?
Financed.

Who provided the financing?
A bank.

Too bad the city leaders wasted their money and got into a borrowing, bent over, position like the rest of us all. Terrible how banks own everything including the police officers badges. Pathetic and unacceptable.

There is nothing wrong with wanting to pay cash for things, and I have a very difficult (near impossible) time justifying consumer debt for anything outside of a personal residence.

I also don't get warm fuzzies from a bucket full of cash. I hate lazy money and very little of mine sits around doing nothing.

I pay cash for everything. But I fully realize that I will not be able to buy a house for cash. Nor is it the best option, sometimes, even if one has the ability.
