I have a stainless steel one that we use all the time. I stopped using teflon many years ago. That shit'll kill you.

Welcome to. There is a ton of random stuff in there and it changes fairly often. Right now I have various pieces of "art" in there that I am trying to move.

The sunbeam is from my old house. My mom cooked fried chicken in it many times as you can see.

I'm almost positive there is no teflon in my PVC pipes. But even if there were, it's when it's heated that it releases all the bad stuff. So I know- LET'S COAT COOKWARE WITH IT! THAT SHIT NEVER GETS HOT!

TeflonĀ® flu creates flu-like symptoms of chills, headache, fever and nausea. Usually, symptoms subside within a few days, and chances are many people who have experienced it mistook it for the flu. However, there are also more serious risks.
One of the main chemicals used in the manufacturing process of TeflonĀ® and other nonstick pans is perflurooctanoic acid (PFOA) also known as C-8. This chemical has led to cancer and birth defects in lab animals, and may have led to birth defects in DuPont plant workers. In 2005, an independent panel reporting to the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) declared PFOA a likely human carcinogen.
I'll take my chances with stainless steel and cast iron, thank you.

Dont worry about the cancer causing dust generated by internal combustion engines. Teflon is the REAL enemy.
We get constantly exposed to cancer causing things every minute of our lives.
Some voluntarily. You smoke or chew?

Of course I do. I minimize my risk. I WANT to smoke- if someone grew carcinogen free tobacco as a choice, I would choose it. But they don't. I WANT to cook. And carcinogen free cookware is made every day. So I choose it. Easy-peasy.

No worries. I try to cut my risk here and there. But everyone- EVERYONE- has some little piece somewhere inside them, that believes that, even if by miracle, they will be able to live forever. The quicker one can find that piece, and crush it, the happier and better off they'll be.
