Some of you may already know about this, but I found it fascinating

This guy is printing AR lowers, mags, single shot pistols and the like from 3d printers and making the information available for download, free!

I might download it just in case ;)

I don't think they are meant for recreational use. The technology isn't there yet. I wouldn't use the liberator pistol unless for self defense, that thing looks downright dangerous on both ends. But what it does is provide a weapon that can be used in a situation where guns may have been banned or confiscated by lets say, a government, to kill or incapacitate your enemy and take his weapon. Single shot .45 pistols were made during WW2 and some were supplied to resistance fighters to use in this way.
