Anyone dive for abalone?

I'm thinking bout gettin giving er a shot next year. Once ya got the wet suit, flippers, knife and gauge. The only other expense is gas. We can only take three a day here. And FaG has a permanent boner during Ab season. It's heavily regulated. But I figure I can get my wife and a couple of my varmints a fishing license and punch card and walk out with at least 3-4 limits a trip.

We got a few spots that stretch from south of Mendocino to North of Fort Bragg. Got a couple right in town.

The kids do not need a fishing license, only the report card. (assuming they aren't 16). Do not get caught giving someone else an ab you picked, even while you are in the water, the FaG wardens will lay the hammer down on you for that too. Even though you are only allowed to have the bag limit in possession, you can get around that by "gifting" your abalone to whoever does not have there three, so you can go back out the next day. My dad and I always take two other people who can't dive with us, then legally "gift" our abs to those to people, so we can dive again the following day.

As riveting as all this knuckle deep, assless wet suit talk is...I'm out. Bushed. Been a long day. Watching updates of tripod doing nothing at work really takes its toll on ya
