Dad finally hd his surgery today to remove his kidney and it went Great! We got the best news possible from the Doc and hopefully he will be home tomorrow night or Friday morning. I greatly appreciate y'all's thoughts and prayers throughout this thing.

He is still in recovery now with a little nausea but he is supposed to get moved to a regular room shortly. Thanks again.

Great news. What happens next? Treatments? Nothing? Glad to hear it all went so well.

As it stands now nothing. He will have to have a cat scan twice a year for 5 years to make sure that it hasn't spread. But from what the doctor saw it was fully contained. Thankfully chemo is not necessary unless we find out that it has spread.

Awesome. Scary, I'm sure, but I bet he won't take another day for granted.

Dad got to come home today and is doing great. Didn't get to come home yesterday because he was overmedicated with morphine but all is good now.
