In my "hood" they call it 'poppin stuff'.
I was poppin' off firecrackers for a few hours. Had a section of 10" schedule 80 so I stuck it in the yard like a trash can for them. Kids thought it was cool sounding. Popped off a couple gross of bottle rockets and 12 of them artillery shell peony things.

It was fun. The firemen and policeman sat in lawn chairs watching the whole neighborhood poppin' off their fireworks. They were still lighting off stuff this morning at 5am.

Lots of bottle rockets...Couple dozen shells...roman candles.
Got about the same left to shoot off tonight. Found a real good deal on em do I stocked up.

pretty sure a neighbor lost a hand when a mortar went off three feet off the ground.

i didn't do fireworks.

First time I ever lit them mortar things. The fuses on them are fatter and burn really hot. The next time I do them I will use one of them fat long punk sticks. All I had were the little ones. The guy at the store must knew I was a sucker because that's what he gave me when I asked for punk sticks. Next time I will know better.
Almost burnt my hand on a fuse.

It is fun and Logan had a blast watching from inside the house. We set it up so he could be close but still inside. He giggled like crazy the whole time. I don't think I have to worry about him being gun shy.

I use a lighter to light the mortars. Just keep your hand away from the back of the wick and you'll be fine.

neighbors almost put one through my window at ten-thirty last night, decided if they did i was going to go out and pistol whip the shit out of them.

I put a couple mags through my new pistol. That count?

i will fill up a garbage bag with acetylene and tie a long fused m80 on to it. it will rattle windows a long way off

mix a little oxygen into it and it'll go boom bigger, but you will want a much larger fuse

there is oxygen in it i just fill it up right out of the torch

I didn't even buy any fireworks this year.

I light those bitches off almost nightly. Fill up a gallon ziplock, put it in a paper bag and touch it off.

Great place to play wirh your army soldiers while waiting for a troop movement.

I blew up the index finger and thumb if my right hand with firecrackers when I was 12. Blew holes right to the bone. The doctor gave me 12 shots of Novocain surrounding the area and scrubbed them with a scrubber like you clean pots with. Every now and then a piece of something works its way out. I got permanent scars.
