Pon-pon, pon-pon

Postby bill herian » Sat Jul 20, 2013 5:14 pm

Hello all stations, this is forum poster herian, sector Lake Michigan West, as of 10am Saturday July 20th I realized I haven't been around much and figured I better come by and see how everyone is keeping on. Hope y'all are having a decent summer. The chicory is flowering here, always reminds me that hunting season isn't too far off.

Beef, I hope your buddy's recovery is going as well as can be excepted.

Hammer, haven't forgot your pa in my prayers, hope all is well down there.

One2many, hope your having better luck staying conscious these days. Take care of yourself, bud.

Howdy to the Cali gang, you fellas behave yourselves and keep your barrels clean.

Good tidings to Kansas as well, steer clear of those tornadoes, guys.

A brief benediction to the Michiganders as well.

I know I'm forgetting a bunch of y'all. Isn't someone expecting a baby soon?

Take care fellas

It's been tough here, we had a band of steelhead and coho for a few days where we were getting 15-20 a trip but other than that its been lean. We put together a nice catch this morning, 13, with some beefeater kings to boot but we were alone in that regard.

We got a hard northeast all day today which is exactly what we need to stack up some warm water and get these kings where we want them. If it does what its supposed to, it should be shark week around here.

Every 3rd king we catch is 20+, which helps. Biggest this year is 25.

Nice!

My only goal for the rest of the season is to lock on to a line screaming king.

It's been slow, I'm surprised with the heat this last week that much was happening. July and August are usually dead over here.
