I don't often spend time thinking about what level of opulence constitutes "having made it"...

Planes? Cars? Boats? Big Homes? Sure those are somewhat obvious.

Then you have this guy - I received his handwritten RSVP for our DU Sponsored Sporting Clays event coming up in a couple weeks. On his personal stationary. Featuring his Krieghoff K80.

Yep, hes made it. Good chance he has Boats and Hos.

I have shot a few Krieghoffs, mostly K-32s and a K-80. The price on a standard finish is ridiculous. I worked for a gun club when younger, on Sundays I would pull clays for a group of such shooters, they shot for $20 a person, would always give winnings to who pulled for them. One day I shot with them, one of my favorite stories was running a 96 on a tough course and winning the pot. The icing on the cake was I did it with my Mossy 835 camo with a sling on it.

I had to look that gun up and it cost about the same as my boat. Baller.

I've shot clays with a guy that shots with one. Treats it like an 870, but gentle. Anyone can check it out if they ask, and a lot of times he makes you try it.

I have no idea what model it is, but was told it's worth over $40k. The guy shots more in clays each week than most people shoot in a year.

Anyone with one of those shotguns is automatically in the baller club.

I'd uninvite him. Bout as much class as those rappers flashing rolls of dollas. And serves the same purpose.

He is why I bought a repair manual. Every time I see him he spends an hour bragging about his Lambourgini and what all he did to it. Paying him $65/hour to brag about his fucking car was too much for me to handle.

I'm not squadded with him so I dont necessarily care - but if I can squeeze him for another $500 or $1,000, why not.

He's not a dick about it. I just find it funny that he lets any regular Joe handle it. If I had a gun like that, I'd probably case it between rounds

He spends a lot of his money on the club and to get kids involved...

$65 an hour for boat work is cheep try $90 an hour.

I've found that those who genuinely qualify as "ballers" don't have to reassure themselves by having pictures of their toys on stationary for others to see. A real "baller" is able to act like he's been to the big game before.
