Son of a Bitc....

2007 F350 keeps throwing a check engine light. I have been to the dealer 5 times and had three different parts worth around $1500 put on since January. Just had the last part put in today and the check engine light just came on as I was getting home. Grrrrrr.

Yep, the 6.0. Mine is at the 70K mark. They had to replace all of the gaskets at 30K while under warranty. All services done at the dealer. I couldn't be more loyal. Not sure what to do but keep getting raped is not an option.

It had two different codes and this was the final fix. PO611 and PO404. They said they need to run another check on it though  . I am so pissed I am thinking about trading this in if the truck is really a POS. It runs fine and has plenty of power, just has a check engine light on.

Bro said thats a circuit failure, prob in the FICM (fuel injector control module) or a bad injector itself.
He said it's a Bad code, no such thing as replacing one injector on a side. Would recommend anyone trade out of a 6.0, get an '02 or earlier, all they eat up is ball joints.

He was at Royals game, said he could give me more info in morn.

Thats like new. My thoughts are a vehicle should go 200K without any major issues, if not they are a lemon.

I already had the FICM and a new EGR valve installed. Will look for any updates you have and I appreciate it Jarbo.

That's is what I had from 1990-2006. Never had an issue but they can't hold a 3K slide in camper and pull a boat at the same time.

Did you buy that truck from the Cal Worthington dealer? Those guys suck. When I lived in Anchorage they always tried scamming guys out of extra money.

No, I feel the same way, so I am driving all the way to Wasilla to get it repaired at Kendall Ford, every single damn time.

I loved Wasilla. Have done quite a bit of partying at big lake and ate a ton of food at the valley hotel in Palmer.

I have done a ton of partying out there and ate at some of the restaurants. I am usually just passing through though to get to moose camp or the fishing which used to be good in the valley.

Robertsons drive GM vehicles except for Phil has an older taco. Si had a beater full size Chevy but got a newer Silverado.

My Silverado is just about to 200k and running good.

So it's your fault and their's Goldie? :) I think it's the 6.0 Diesel. Poor design.

I liked GM up until the bailout. Don't plan on buying anything of theirs made after that point. We will see when the time comes for a new vehicle, but that's the thought right now

I went with F350 to get the weight and towing. I am loyal to demonstrated consistency and this is a fail right now.

Ford never should have gotten rid of the 7.3, was damn near indestructible. I would avoid the GM until they prove they can build a vehicle that is not junk, been a while since they have.

The Rams seem to have good diesels and good mileage if I go new. I will most likely ride this truck for awhile.

The Rams have a great powertrain, unfortunately the front ends, suspension, and rest of body is lacking. Front hubs at $1000+ a pop gets expensive.
