For that price I hope you stocked up.

This is our 7th diver/sea duck trip (6th for me I missed Lake Superior), only once did weather lead to a disappointing trip. Every good guide has solid backups because there are going to be days it is not safe to go for the intended trip. The one time, there just were few ducks in the backup and we could see mass flocks of ducks offshore that we just couldn't get to safely.

One day of good weather and two days on backup hunts is a very successful trip. We've never had 3 days of good weather. If that's your expectations don't go on the big water during duck season. Right now I don't think we get out in the ocean at all, but the Maine coast is so irregular and there are long bays. I'm not too worried, but I am guessing we are hunting completely inland from the land if we get anything close to that weather on day 2. One good day makes these trips worthwhile. Monday still looks possible for that good day, but wind forecasts that far out are near useless. We could still have dead calm, but anticipation makes me check this far out.

That's a little better forecast for day 2.

Never know what you might see in Florida.

The pretty spoonbills.

The lovely mermaids.

Funny looking "mallards"

They even have snowmen.

And this surprised me the most.

I'm about 50% sure we saw an actual flamingo the other day. It was pink on the head and neck, longer legs and neck and I am sure the bill was curved. I'd be more sure but it's incredibly rare to see a flamingo in Florida, let alone this far north. There was no way to turn around on the I275 bridge over Tampa Bay to try and get a better look. I would have loved to get a better look at that bird. My wife pointed out all the differences when we looked at the spoonbill up close today.

For your next vacation go to Busch Gardens in California.
You can easily study a flamingo up close there. Maybe even catch one before they throw you out.

I am going to Homosassa state park today.

Last time there.

20180201_144850_001.jpg

Lots of places to see captive flamingos in Florida.

But the main reason we are going is because when it gets really cold for Florida, you can see lots of these. And it has been arctic by Florida standards, so they should be piled in seeking the warmth of the springs.

20180201_120426.jpg

We'll also see the only living Florida hippopotamus.

https://authenticflorida.com/lu-the-hippo/

Also probably eat lunch at monkey island.

http://www.homosassaflorida.com/monkey-island

Monkees, hippos, manatees, bears, panthers, ... You never know what you will see in Florida, but expect to see a variety today.

Serious question.
This video is fake. Defies the laws of physics.

The question?
Are two guys hiding in the water connecting hoses to the gadget?

Jimmy?
Plainsman? Is that you?

Show some respect man. He's CEO of a backyard Honey mega corp. Makes enough for gas one way to Arkansas while his wife holds down the real job in the family.

This looks like the ideal thread to read from the beginning. The Karens from years past must have drove the fun crowd somewhere else? I’ll camp here for awhile.

It was a hella big deal around here when Texas outlawed midget-tossing.

For some real fun dig up where olly and I argued over led lighting. I wouldn't listen. The usual shit

Dang you all must've missed it.
WY files did a Denver International Airport video.
It immediately was demonitized and then it blew up.
The guy went live and ....4 hours of content about the weird stuff surrounding that wicked place.
Hecklefish damn near lost his mind in the fish bowl.

When asked about the indictment Harris muttered about not commenting on an open case.

I don't know because I haven't crashed the party there yet. I think he's waiting for an epic flight day to invite me and it just never happened.
It's hard to impress people with a spot thats got no ducks. I get it.
Someday I'll drag him into the woods because I can't wait 4ever.

The feud started when "they" I'm going to refer to him as they because he is they.
They took some really good shots based on old information that they'd been stewing on for years. Years and years of stewing...lol
Hit the site and came out swinging.
So I found the foe hammer and tried ignoring it.
They chased me around all winter, finally I had enough and took the gloves off.
So here we are with my foot wedged firmly in mouth and I have to....apologize.
BUT IM NOT KISSING IT
Sorry fellas and thank you for tolerating the stench and mostly thanks for not piling on board.
Took a few shots where I was just glad you all ignored it.
Thank you.
