My little brother was a clinical pathologist with the company that did the aspertame FDA studies and said the maker screwed up by essentially asking them to keep pouring it to the test mice until something bad happened, which eventually did - in crazy big doses equating to pounds per day for years and years in humans.

Just happy fat people who are too lazy to go do all the terror crimes and what not. Even if they get pissed their short-term memories are so bad that by the time they get to the room with the guns they forgot what they were going there for.
