Just the tip.... Just to see how it feels.

Always put gas in the boat, make sure a duck is all the way dead or it might fly away an hour later (it happens), dont pee into the wind, check shooting time before you go out, make sure it's actually duck season and that the season didn't end the day before ( I did that my first year)

Hit the lottery

Pay more attention to what the birds tell you than the "experts".

Put strings and weights on your decoys.

Ditch your brothers and join DU or some other waterfowl organization. Find some experienced hunters to help you out.

and sometimes you can go scouting early if the hunt doesn't go as planned in the morning
