Off-duty LEO

Just saw a story that the NFL as of today banned off-duty law enforcement from carrying their weapons into a stadium. This includes secret service, FBI, everybody.

This is stupid. They also started a new policy of no bags or packs, only a small clear plastic bag, 1 per person. Why? Because of "security concerns" and terrorism-related issues. They're saying "our security is enough". Really? A bunch of rent a cops?

I know, I bust balls about cops a lot, but truthfully, this is just dumb. The more guns the better, I always say. There's no such thing as "security" at these stadiums when it comes right down to it. It's just another liberal bunch of crap. They sound like a bunch of limp-wristed faggots. "Guns are inherently dangerous in an environment with alcohol present". And let's not forget the NFL is also actively promoting Obamacare. Guess we see which side they're coming down on.

If the Chiefs win it all, I'm buying guns with my prize money. Fuck you, NFL.

Assa, I agree in principle with you. Not sure what prompted this, but I do know that some Seattle cops got liquored up and then got into a big fight last year at a game. Could have gone from bad to worse really quickly. Penalize the rule breakers and not the good cops should be the right answer but sane law making has been in a decline lately...

Good. If I can't carry my gun into their stadium neither should they when off duty

Obviously I think not allowing anyone to carry is a stupid rule but I give them props for enforcing their rules across the board.

I for one would feel a LOT safer if they took the guns from all cops, seriously what is wrong with govt, lets take the lowest iQ of society and give them a badge and a gun and give them a power position...

Reading this, I realized I had made an assumption- that CC permit holders were not allowed to carry there, but I realized that I don't know this to be the case. Is (or was) it? I honestly don't know.

As for enforcing rules across the board, I think it's stupid, with the current security concerns. If you are so worried about terrorism or something that even purses aren't allowed, then how does prohibiting guns help? It doesn't, that's how.

Wouldn't be allowed by Michigan's CC laws.

If this is the way you truely feel I guess I chose the wrong forum. I chose to service based on my on desire to help my neighbors. While I will freely admit that I am no rocket scientist I dont consider my intelligence level near bottom.

Rick

You're aware that that is based off of income, not IQ, right?

Actually, normal IQ is considered to be 100 and the chart lists Police Officers at 100.8 which is above "normal". Keep in mind that these are average values. Nobody is calling names here or pointing fingers and snickering but if you look at half the people you work with you might concede that Jehler has a point. Success in any occupation has more to do with goals, expectations and education/training than it does with IQ (Otherwise, how could some really dumb mother fuckers have so much money and wealth?) Compare your vocabulary, spelling ability, enunciation and diction to the people you work with and those you associate with and then do the same with the people here on this forum and see where you fit in. If you are happy with your self, that's good, if not maybe you should consider your alternatives.
