I wanted to appologize to everyone who had signed up for the East Coast Traveler. Between family and travel with work I just couldnt get the bird painted in time to send it off. Luckily Olly had enough smarts to notice and set up another. I used a modified black duck pattern to make mine so I think Im going to trim here and there and add the one I made to my black duck rig. I am however making a joke decoy for a hunting buddy and I will make two. I'll post pics when its done. Thanks for the opportunity and I'll do something to make it up to you fockers.

Thank you for volunteering to begin with. We all understand life happens sometimes. You're still on the list for the Seagull if you want to hunt over it!

Although I didn't sign up for it, I will accept a black duck mantelpiece decoy as a consolation prize. Then it'll all be fine. Thank you.

About 200 a day less than the number of your duck calls.

Hey Jehler....still killing those puddle ducks?
Thanks guys. Things have been crazy lately. I got demoted to project manager about 5 months ago for both our plants. Would have been a gravy job the past two years being so slow. Right now we have nearly 100 million in work signed for the next two years. On top of gearing up for the work I've had to travel a lot to negotiate material purchases. I'll be in Minneapolis next week if anyone is near by.
Assa wouldn't you rather have a rig of buffleheads? You can shoot a bunch of those and the pressure of hitting a sprig isn't there.

I'm the project manager for a precast concrete company. We made the original and new Chesapeake Bay Bridge Tunnel to give you an idea of what we do. We're currently gearing up to do the Bayonne Bridge in NY, the footings for the Tappan Zee Bridge, and the Egg Harbor and Drag Channel bridge on Rt 52 in NJ.

How about finding some time to do a new Oregon inlet bridge while you're at it...please.

My neck of the woods. I'm just south of Minneapolis (a suburb of it). If you can't hunt or fish, there isn't much to do. Nightclubs are pretty decent I guess (everybody says Mpls had good night life, but I've never been anywhere else to compare it).

We actually put in an unsolicited bid to the state with our parent company about 7 years ago. It was reviewed and the bridge project went through 1,000 layers of red tape. It then publically bid about 3 years ago and PCL was awared. We wouldnt get anything out of it because they planned to cast the prestressed beams onsite. The tree hugging bird people filed a lawsuit and stopped the job immediately. They also put the Mid-Currituck bridge to a hault after they found out about that one. We tried to keep that one out of the news. Dragados has or had the contract to that one at one time. Not sure where it stands now. Would have been nice to drive to Maple and then right out to Corala wouldnt it?

Yeah it would. Although living outside of Raleigh now, we come in through manteo to get to our place in southern shores. If by chance I'm coming from Suffolk, the bridge would be nice I guess. Maybe not though....Corolla is 23 miles north of our place...long, slow drive.
