Going off topic. A poll

Postby Olly » Fri Oct 25, 2013 11:31 am

Alright guys, I've been getting more and more PM's and seeing more and more chatter about people wanting their topics to stay on topic here on WFF. Most of you know I hate having a lot of rules here and only add them when needed.

I could go either way on this issue. So I have decided to make a pole and let the members decide this one.

1. A new rule that if a member wishes to do he he/she can post in bold terms in the first post of a new topic that they wish to keep it on topic and all off topic conversation will be taken elsewhere. All members will respect their wishes or not post in the topic.

2. Keep things the way they are.

Voting is anonymous, so if you want this issue addressed now is the time to speak up. This pole will run for 01 week.

If you're using tapatalk and want to vote you need to log in via the website.

Sounds like the crybaby forum or little girls forum are greatly needed.

The Olly Administration is now appeasing the liberal crybabies forcing their ways of life into my freedoms. I for one will not stand for this. If Ollycare gets passed I will filibuster my ass off and force a WFF Shutdown.

You probably took a head shot over a feeder. Totally unethical.

I shot it at 15 ft. Forgot about the delay on muzzleloader and pulled up hard but still dropped it.

Keep it the way it is. Wasn't the reason this forum was created is to get away from the tightly ran others. If they don't like it, they can go back to the tyranny.

I'm fine with whatever rule changes the guy paying the bills wants, but anyone who can't put up with some banter, as well, can forget my serious input on their thread, too. Have already decided to just close such threads and not open them again.

Tightly run with pointless rules and a forum that scares people off because they feel like they're never heard are two different things.

Wouldn't it be easier to just create a sub forum to post where your thread will stay on topic? Similar to the only serious responses in the greenhorn forum. To me its kinda a natural progression. Ever have a conversation that stayed on topic over a few minutes with friends? Same thing happens here.

I agree with Rozzo and Red's last two post and in the beginning of this thread I said that I hated having a lot of rules. BUT I have heard enough complaints and opinions on the matter that it lead me to believe a lot more than you guys realize want something like this.

The votes seem to agree with that.

I agree. Wish it could stay the same. I posted a thread bout my Benelli the other day. Was some good info there from Dan and some other guys. But the ball busting Remington guys made the thread fun to read
