If the world crashes, I don't know if it's possible to survive on pickles and tomato sauce, but I may find out.

All you have to do is survive on it for about a week or two. After that, everyone will have depleated their grocery stores and died of starvation. Then you can go shoot all the cormorants you want and feast on them.

I actually had a dream about a cormorant. How bizarre is that? I had shot and killed what I thought was a merg I had never seen before, took it home, cooked it and ate it, and it tasted just like a huge shrimp. (this is a dream, remember) I was very excited, so went out to kill more of these tasty bluish/whitish hooded mergs, and I brought in 4 more, and got checked. The warden didn't know what they were. He called in scientists (yes, at about 8 in the morning on a Saturday, at the boat ramp- it was a dream, after all), and they decided it was a new species of cormorant, and decided on the spot that it should be protected just like regular cormorants. Then the game warden tried to arrest me, and we got in an argument about the fact that it wasn't illegal when I shot them, I ran into the hybrid, and took off across the bay, and my Jeep was magically waiting for me on the other side (dream remember). I drove home cursing the govt and cursing my luck that such a delicious bird was now off limits.

Overall, I would've preferred naked hot women, but this one was entertaining, at least.

It was a strange one, for sure. Usually I only get those when my annual bout of malaria flares up, and I spike a fever of about 104. I blame it on all the cormies I saw out fishing on Sunday.

I read that as "Commies I saw out fishing" and was going to make a Red Dawn comment.

Assa, do you always remember all the details of your dreams like that?
The only time I remember much of the details of a dream is when I realize it is a dream, as I'm dreaming. I've called out in my sleep for my wife to wake me. It kinda freaks her out. It seems almost painful to reach outside of the dream for help, because I can't wake myself.

Your garden was 100 times better than mine. Yesterday we were the officaly at 107 degrees. Its supposed to be over 100 here for the next 10 days. The corn is being cut for silage; its a total loss. Be prepared for higher food prices...

Very rarely. Usually only the "fever dreams". I did have one which woke me up, my youngest daughter was being abducted, I had to watch as she was screaming at the back window of a car pulling from a parking lot driving away. That one was so bad, I don't even like to type it here. It only seemed to last a very few seconds, but when I woke up, I honestly thought I was going to have a heart attack. I couldn't breathe, and I'd be willing to bet everything I have that my heart rate was well over 220. It was very bad. I didn't sleep for the rest of the night, just went and sat on the floor in her room watching Gilligan's Island as she slept.

My dad has a little cattle operation as a side business. Has abt 40 head. Sure would help him out if the price per lb went way up.

Assa does that guy still have those buffalo up there near beaver dam? I know it wasnt far from Dixieland. I used to see them from the train when I worked for the ESRR. I had permission to hunt along the track. I must say it was tempting to pop one.

I haven't seen them, haven't been out that way in a while. There are more than a few just down the road, though. They generally look like miserable, disgruntled creatures to me. But I'd love to shoot one and put in the freezer(s).

buffalo steaks are damn good eating

All I could see was a bunch of hair covering hundreds of pounds of steaks. We went to Salisbury last weekend and got talking about them on the way up. I didnt see them from the highway, but I couldnt remember if you could in the first place. Its been a while.

Used to be the avg was anywhere from 70 to 80 cents but recently spiked to almost 2as dolllars and then felll back into the normal avg. May even be down we havent run to auction in a whille.

I had a dream once that I was fighting a couple of guys to protect my wife. I punched my wife in the jaw. She wasn't happy but fortunately I didn't hit her hard.

When I was about 16 and still living at home I punched my bedroom window because of a dream one time. Luckily I didn't cut my hand to bad.

I had a dream the other night I was in Veitnam(granddady was telling me stories earlier that day.) I had to jump in a spider or fox hole whatever they called em. When I got down there I found the whizard of oz charachters. That was weird.

Woke up bc I punched my lamp off my night stand one night. I remember dreaming that I was punching a guy thru a truck window. I was cut pretty bad and the lamp was shattered. Luckily it wasn't on as I sometimes do fall asleep with it on. Coulda burnt the house down.

I've had two pretty comical conversations with my fiance in my sleep. To say the least she was thoroughly confused

A few years ago my brother in law had a dream he was still in Afghanistan and shot the window out of his bedroom in his parents house. Then he unloaded the rest of the clip out the open window and into the darkness. After that he walked around the peremiter of his parents house and cleared it all. The entire time he was still sleeping.
