I figured that's what was going on. Looks like he was about to pass out.

damn, he fucked himself up.
he had the forethought to carry a tourniquet. saved his life for sure, but it's not tight enough from the looks of it and i don't see anything holding pressure on it (like a stick).

If it wasn't tight enough he would have died within minutes. The article says that a member of the group was a EMT and the tourniquet looks like a webbed belt that probably wouldn't need a stick....

I'm still waiting for AB to tell us what he did wrong.

he wrapped it himself, the EMT didn't get there for sometime from what i'm reading.
you're right though, he cut a piece of webbing off his backpack, and he says he tightened it with a stick.

Ok, look closely at where the "tail" of that chute is pointing. He got turned around. Sent waterfowlman a pm, watched it again several times and spotted that so...three mistakes.
"Some" ppl just shouldn't be playing extreme sports like base jumping.

Haha you crack me up, the guy himself said he opened the chute to late and didn't get enough distance from the face.

Too late? You mean too early. I could not watch the second video. I have seen worse.

I was gona say this too, I would have passed out seeing my leg like that though, I guess he was in mild shock and had tons of adrenaline pumping at that point though.
