So, shortly after posting yesterday, about the morning hunt and, resetting quackheads first two beaver trap sets, I closed my eyes for a second. I remember being woke up for dinner and staying up for awhile and then crashed. I don't know if quackhead went out to finish reset of traplines or not but, I'm sure I didn't go with him if he did.
Who would have thought only sleeping 6-8 hours over 72 hours would catch up to me.
Sucks getting old. In my younger days it would have been nothing, maybe I have a sleep disorder?

I'd much rather get old than the alternative.

I'm right there with ya... 25 in 7 days and my joints hurt almost every morning.

QHP, I can relate, and it is frustrating! I'm 56 and have never slowed down for anything. Sunday morning, my hunting partner called at 3:30 a.m. to let me know he wasn't gonna be able to go........some crap about throwing up. I said F it, I'm going anyway. Got to the launch around 4:30 a.m., cut a bundle of cane, and sipped on coffee as I listened to the howl of the 25-20 mph North wind. Was getting my boat ready to launch when I tripped over the tongue of my trailer and busted my arse. Took me a minute to take inventory and be sure nothing was broken before rolling over and getting up.......slowly! What made it even worse was a friend and fellow duck hunter had just pulled up with his boat and I was talking to him at the time. I figured he'd be laughing himself silly, but when I looked up, he had a serious look on his face when asking if I was o.k. He is 4 years older than I am, and has an even clearer understanding of how time takes it's toll on us old farts. I agree with you.........it sucks getting old!

Today is a good day, I woke up.

I just gained another year (31) on Monday. Oddly enough, woke up feeling better than I have in a while on Tuesday. (I injured my lower back a few years ago and never was any good about doing the physical therapy, so I just lived with the pain since it really only bothered me when I woke up. Well, my wife finally convinced me to do the damn exercises the past two weeks, and I'll be damned if it is not already noticeably better. Please don't tell her.)

On the topic of age though, a wise old friend of mine once told me: Just remember, m'boy, you are only as old as the woman you feel.

50 myself and yep suck,s but like betty say,s i wake up i win. 28 year,s in the in the service deployed all the hell over makes every day not taking the dirt nap a dam good day

I hate getting old too QH. When I was 18 I could drink 15 beers and wake up at 4am and crush birds without a hangover. Nowadays I pee the bed and only roost hunt all drunk out of my mind, freakin sucks ass.
