Holy hell, brother. The fruitcake got here today, and that sonofabitch is the best I've ever had, hands down. Thank you very much, and tell your wife she's a hell of a cook. I can't believe some of you Godless heathens don't like fruitcake.
Thank you, and Merry Christmas!

I never heard of anyone eatting fruitcake. I thought there were actually only 10 in existance and, people just regifted them around the world each year. Figures some cheap Assa from the people's republic would actually take one out of circulation.

I eat them every chance I get. They're actually hard to find around here.

This one would've been! I think it had about a half bottle of brandy in it.
No shit, the thing as delicious. I say "was" because it's gone. I ate the whole damn thing over the course of the evening Seriously the best fruitcake ever.

I googled what it tasted like, and now I want one! One question though, what keeps it from getting soggy with all of the brandy?

Without the brandy it would be dry, still tasty but somewhat dry. It takes two days to get the brandy into the cake a little at a time. Add a little brandy three times a day, I'm guessing that 3-4 oz of brandy were in that small cake. The brandy improves the flavor, makes it moist and acts as a preservative too.
