It seems like about 1/8th of the ppl here know what they are doing...
Nobody killed anything today except me and one other group.
The questions like "what hole did you use?" and what time did you launch...
Never, ever, answer questions like that truthfully.

Only the guys I hunt with on a constant basis know where I shoot birds at.

It's a lot less than that around here. Like 1 outa 20. And the 19 always seem to ruin it for the poor guy that puts his time in.

there are three other holes nearby. I know where one is. The other two are super close to the one I use but nobody uses them. I humbled into one last year.
Its actually a better hole but I have no clue how to get a boat into it.

the first time i ever went waterfowling was early canadas with my FIL up in michigan. we did alright and got three birds. when we first packed up he hid the birds under our gear in the boat then started up the motor and, to my surprise, headed away from the ramp. he circled way around the lake so that we were approaching the ramp from the other direction entirely. then he pulled the geese up on top of the gear where they could be seen and told me that if anybody asks, we got them "back there". sure enough, we get to the ramp and two other groups see us an immediately ask where we got them, then look in the direction we approached the ramp from. my FIL is not a shady guy, so for him to take those precautions and to go through that kind of trouble, I knew he was teaching me something that I had better pay attention to.

I hide my ducks and say I didn't get any. Otherwise I got to tell the lie of 'where'.
