I can't believe this shit. The assholes whole paid for this sign are so proud of it they didn't even put any of their info on it.

I'd love to see them prove their ridiculous statement.

You should put up a billboard saying "responsible gun owners can spell"

Or on the next one down, list how much money sportsmen have put into those lands and how little the bird watchers have

It doesn't belong to us, but who do they think pays for everything? Us responsible gun boys who buy our stamps and liscenses that pay for the management of the habitat.

If you ever figure out how a liberal comes to any conclusion, you will be the first.

I grew up playing in the woods. Hiking, backpacking, rock-climbing all that. I still love it. Not coming from a hunting family though, it was not until I was an adult before somebody invited me to go hunting for the first time. Obviously, I loved it. I still make the joke that hunting is like hiking with a purpose.

I will admit, there were times when it was kind of annoying when I could go to a certain park or trail because it was deer gun season and it was closed because of poachers in years past, but I and all my friends always recognized that was not "hunters" but criminals at fault. For the most part we always got along great with the hunters we shared the woods with. In the fall we make sure to wear our orange pack covers, and no matter the time of year, we always do our best to not disturb the wildlife or habitat. There is a code that all ethical backpacker/hikers follow called "Leave No Trace" (Take nothing but pictures, leave nothing but footprints.) In fact, when I first got into hunting, one of the things that I found most appealing was the fact that hunters also had an ethical code, "Fair Chase".

I think that for the most part hunters and other outdoor enthusiasts get along great and could actually be great allies in the common cause of protecting our wild places and preserving public lands for all of us to enjoy. Unfortunately, as with most things, it is the few people on the fringe of both sides that scream their extreme views the loudest and therefore get the most attention. Like the fools who put up that billboard.

Please, as a member of the outdoor recreation community, believe me when I say that those assholes do not speak for all, or even most, of us. Don't believe me? Go invite a rock-climber or backpacker to go hunting with you, I would bet that you that 4 out of 5 would be excited to give it a try. (I remember how excited we always were to get deer jerky or venison chili. Tastes way better than a power bar and has more protein too.)

I can just picture some hulking overweight house wife who hasn't been fucked in 5 years because her husband gets physically ill from the smell of her over grown out of control snatch, taking her anger at her miserable life out on hunters because we kill things. Never mind that she has never straped on a pair of hiking boots to those hooves that can hardly be called feet and actually stepped foot into the woods she thinks she is saving.

That's who I think of when I think of who paid for this ad.

Hahaha.
The woods I hunt in have wild hogs and guess what? Hunters and game wardens kill them. If it weren't for guns, the family on the billboard would be killed, torn to bits, then the bits fought over by the birds after the lions, tigers, and bears were done.

If you think it is bad down there, you should stop into Ptown sometime. The population base there, and in Eugene, is beyond liberal. They don't have a term that is left enough for those nut cases. You spend a day there and you will think you are in SoCal except it is quite a bit cooler and usually wet. :o

What do liberals do when they don't like something?
They get offended !!!
I think all the hunters in your area should get offended and harass the billboard company until its been removed. Use their bullshit tactics against them.
