Hunters who steal.

Postby FlintRiverFowler » Sun Jan 05, 2014 10:39 am

A friend of mine just text me saying that he had come home to find all of his decoys stolen from his boat. He asked everyone he knows if they stopped by and grabbed them and noone has them. Must have happened last night. It just makes me wonder, if someone is so much of a lowlife that they will steal gear to go hunting with, then what type of ethics do they have while in the woods? How respectful of nature are they of they don't even respect their fellow man? Coincidentally he lives a few miles down the road from my granddads farm where some things have gone missing in the past few weeks. Including large round bales.

Jbird? That sucks, he should setup a deer camera and see if he can catch them coming back.
“If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquility of servitude better than the animating contest of freedom, go home from us in peace. We ask not your counsels or arms. Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains set lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that ye were our countrymen.” ― Samuel Adams

World is full of lowlife pieces of shit, some are hunters also. I had 8 dozen goose decoys taken from a field years ago. We left after dark and arrived before sunrise the next day.

When I was in college I'd sit at parking lot and do homework. Snooze, then hunt. Had a ford exploder. Slept in the back. My decoys went on the ground behind.
Some guys stole my decoys while I was trying to sleep. Kept dog from barking...two bags of duck and one of honkers.
I thought they were unloading but they were stealing.
I wondered why they drove off after making all that unloading noise.
Makes ya hate and distrust.

Another time someone stole my game cart I'd used to haul all my stuff IN with. Was screwed. Had to take four trips to get all my gear out.

Fuckers! Should be slowly tortured to death.

That's just bullshit.
I know the people down here. Decoys are cheap, short strings, Texas rigged, and many times left all season.

My farmer buddies hate duck hunters because decoys get caught in their equipment from blowing from one field to another.

I suppose there MIGHT be one or two meth head duck decoy thieves but seriously, $25/dozen brand new for hot buys every day at DNW.

I'm impressed! You know every hunter in Arkansas after spending a few weeks a year there?

Decoys are left out here all season. Some guys leave them tied out, some have 15'-16' decoy skiffs anchored by the blind, some leave them in the blind. Not much stealing happens but I've heard of a few times, it would not be good for your health to steal decoys in this area.

I get the paint pens from the hardware store and write my name on the bottom and put a very small brand on them with a wood burner. They might scratch the paint off, but they'll never notice the marks.

The meth monkeys around here hit the storage containers on rice clubs every year. Shit, the big duck club to the north of my place got all their 4wheelers stolen years ago. Fucking crackheads are the best.

My dads cousin is a Pacific Northwest meth monkey. Last we heard she was in Portland living in her broke down Tahoe with two other meth monkeys. Wonder if she ever robbed a duck club.

It would be tough for you to pick her out of a crowd in P-Town. There's that many.
