Today marks the last day of pheasant and quail season. Heading a couple hours west to give them one more go, been a tough year for sure. Good day all!

Hope you do better than I did! I got fucking embarrassed yesterday! Kicked up a pair of roosters, dropped the first one, swung on the second one but he flew behind a cedar tree but still got hit. Fucker hit the ground running and never stopped. Chased him hoping he'd hit the first patch of heavy grass and hide, no dice. Came back to find the first bird, can't find him either. Came back a couple hours later with the dog to see if he had hid in the grass, nothing. FML.

Very happy with the hunting this upland season. With some of the lowest bird numbers ever in KS, we managed to find a bird or two on every trip, with one limit of pheasant with some bonus quail. Lookin forward to higher bird numbers returning, saw quite a few hens so there should be some seed if mother nature cooperates.
