Oysterfest.

Postby RonE » Fri Mar 07, 2014 6:16 pm

This is the 5th year for my next door neighbors Oysterfest party. He says that I am the co-host so that he can get me to help him shuck oysters and get everything set up. I normally invite about half the guests too. We are getting ready for the big party tonight. Oysters on the half shell, Oysters on the grill, Oysters fried and Oysters Rockefeller. In addition to the oysters we will have a shrimp boil (shrimp, sausage, potatoes and corn on the cob) and lots of beer and wine. Picked up a bag (110 lbs) this morning just finished shucking most of them.

Quite a few, mostly the real large oysters.

Really happy with the sack, very few empty shells and only three dead oysters in the whole lot.
