1969 Shelby Mustang

It's not uncommon for rare vehicles to surface in a barn or rundown garage, encrusted in decades of dust, itching to be sold for a handsome profit. What is rare, however, is to find a one-owner, 1969 Shelby Mustang GT500 — one of only about 1,000 ever made — resurface in its original condition, fastidiously maintained and never washed for fear of damaging the paint, with only 8,500 miles on the clock.

And he always drove it under 40 mph. Only went to the Piggly Wiggly on Sundays if it wasn't raining and then his wife drove because she could see out of both eyes.
The auction house really is laying it on thick...

My best friend in high school bought a '69 Mach One with a 351 cleveland in it... rusted out POS but oh my God it ran.
The car was cold blooded and wouldn't stay running in the morning when it was cold. John would rev the piss out of it to keep it running. Then he got the bright idea of pouring STP oil treatment in. Two bottles is twice as good right?
The next day he did his rev the piss out of the car thing and it went BAM...glug glug glug. All the oil was on the ground because he blew a rod thru the block.
:scooter:

I warned him, his dad warned him, everyone did. He was just one of them kids who tears shit up. I ended up with his bike every year for about five years because he'd "work on it" and need a new one. Ever know anyone like that?

I put gas into a diesel tractor. ???
My boss put me on the end loader. He pointed at the fuel cap and said, "this is where the GAS goes" then sent me to Freedom gas station because "it's the only place with diesel".
He said the word gas ten times and then kinda added that Freedom sells diesel.
I was clueless and filled it with gas JUST LIKE HE TOLD ME TO DO.
Oh, I caught hell. Grabbed my tool belt, power saw, and cords...and walked. Left him and his miserable ass with his tractor.

The only reason he had me drive the pos was nobody else would. The tie rods were shit and if you weren't careful the tractor would get uncontrollable . So I got to drive it on the street.
Then the boss would actually run it on jobsite.
Such a pussy he was.
