Saw that on the news this morning. I've gotta believe Jim has at least gotten a free round trip ticket out of them.

I wish they would've interviewed me, dammit! It would've been far more entertaining. I did get a book of drink coupons out of the deal.

This part cracked me up. There really was shit flying EVERYWHERE

There were 265 people on board, including a crew of 10, when the Airbus A330 hit turbulence at about 17,000 feet over Delaware.
"All of a sudden, there was ... a drop like you're going down the bottom of a roller coaster," Jake Levin told CNN affiliate WKMG after the flight arrived about 5 hours late in Orlando.
"You saw ... shoes and apples and all kinds of things (flying in the air). It was so quick," he said. "They weren't sure if we were dropping for good or what was happening."
It was a terrifying experience for his girlfriend Victoria Raines.
"I though we were going down," she said. "I really did."
Flight 735 was flying from Philadelphia to Orlando at the time of the incident. There had been some reports of light turbulence in the area, but nothing as severe as what the plane ran into.
The Federal Aviation Administration will investigate.

The FAA will investigate? What are they going to do? Sue the sky for being unpredictable?

when I saw the news this morning I have to admit I thought of the M*A*S*H where Frank has an illegal radio and is listening to ball games "live" and then betting with the guys who listen later on Military radio.
Pretty sure he's not assashitting us because of that picture of the head dent in the airplane cabin.
I still think there's a chance he's bullshitting us....about 50/50.

Yesterday he says he was on an airplane that had to make an emergency landing...there can't be more than one commercial airplane that had to land due to turbulence in one day is the assumption we're making.

Not so sure it's a good "assa"umption...lol

If aviation had existed 200 years ago and this "accident" or whatever happened the town crier would be yelling about how God hates that airplane or some such foolishness. Instead we're going to be equally foolish and demand a scientific explanation along with an investigation by three or four separate govt. entities.

They call it, "progress".

Flying into Michigan from Chicago was my worst puckering experience ever. As soon as we cleared Lake Michigan it was like the bottom dropped out of the plane. Wasn't as drastic as Assa's to send shit flying, but just enough to make you think you were going down. Fucking unpredictable I tell you.
