Chomping at the bit!

Postby QH's Paw » Tue Sep 11, 2012 1:49 pm

Well, it's almost time for me to head back to WY. this past weekend, my son and his little family headed out to set up camp.
Here are the beginnings of the base camp.

His was able to get out and do a little bird hunting while out with the family. Here is his first limit of the season, using the shotgun.

So, the second day, he decided to increase the challenge, and with family in tow, he took this limit with his bow.

My Grandson Hunter was supervising the camp setup.
"Hey Dad, there's plenty of grass for the horses over here."

Can't wait to get back over there and start chasing the wiley ol' Wapiti.

Looks like a good setup. Good luck and hope you get your new knives dirty.

That explains all the amenities you have in the barge.
We do have shower points sometimes but, I don't think we'll bother on this trip.
We're right next to the river and, even though it is already getting down to high 20s at night, it is in 60s to 70s during the day so no biggy bathing in river water.

You know I'll do my best to get those knives dirty as many times as I can.
If it don't happen this trip, I still have a 2 week trip during the rifle season.
