I like to see what the pattern is early and how they are moving. Surprised I seen so many Ruff grouse. Normally I'm lucky to see one but ended up seeing a good 7-10 in total today. The only part about mountains like these is going down.

its more then diet..you little fuckers have it made. i did stop smoking about 5 years ago....rolling hills are fine 14000+ is tuff on me besides my much larger muscles use more oxygen then you midgets

Good idea to get out early and get your legs ready. I highly doubt you'll get a pattern this early of elk for October but, if you keep going out, you'll be able to see how and where they're moving around. Keep paying your dues, you'll get the pay off eventually.![]()
