I just wanted to say thank you to all that wished my son well last night. The surgery went off without a hitch and despite some post surgery nausea and tears, he is right back to his bubbly self. The hard part now is to keep him calm so he can rest and heal. We've been home an hour and he's already asking to go out and play.
A big thank you goes out to Jarbo for texting with me last night and gila for the messages on here keeping me calm. It is much appreciated.

I missed what happened, too. But it's kind of nice to learn serious trouble's been averted before knowing there was a problem. Glad the situation is well in hand.

He has been going stir crazy not being able to run. Doctor said if he ran the scabs in the back of his throat could come loose and cause hemorrhaging. So he's been walking at a pretty good click trying to be his normal self. He has continued his normal routine of playing in the garage and in the yard all day long. Just not at the pace he'd prefer.

Exact same thing my daughter had done, was he getting a lot of ear infections? If the doc prescribed him the oral steroids, take them seriously when they warn he might have "some minor anger issues".

Emmah would rage about 15 minutes after taking it.

Maybe Aunt Betty was on oral steroids?

No ear infections but he would get sinus infections like I've never seen before. Doctor didn't prescribe any steroids, we are on a Ibuprofen and Motrin pain killer regiment. So far so good. He sleeps so much better now and we can barely hear him at night. Before this surgery he would snore and was likely going to be diagnosed with sleep apnea if we hadn't gotten the tonsils removed.
