Since we got all the spoon brothers together here, I got a question. We did pretty well this year, has to be close to 60-70 pounds of salmon in the freeze and as I was sorting things out in there the other day to make room the up coming hunting season it got me wondering, what do those guys do with all their salmon? I love me some grilled salmon, I like it broiled with some parmesan.... You guys got any good recipes?

1 1/2 pounds salmon
1/3 cup soy sauce
1/3 cup BROWN SUGAR
1/3 cup water
1/4 cup vegetable oil
4 cloves of minced garlic
mix it up let it marinade and Barbecue until the fish is flakey...
thats my favorite way to cook it and we eat it about once a week during the salmon run but I also give a lot away. ISS just made some killer smoked salmon and vacume sealed it for blind snacks.

I liked him more before I met Bubbles. Just finished the episode where they stole the bread truck to put the dope in and made Bubbles drive in the dark. You were right- they just keep getting more hilarious.

That smoked salmon was straight numb numbs. It would make great blind snacks if it even makes it to the blind. ;)

15oz kosher salt
1 1/2 cup dark brown sugar
1 gal of water
black pepper
thyme
sage
rosemary leaves (dried)
cayenne pepper
ground mace
ground ginger
7-8 cloves of garlic ran thru a zester
roughly 4-5lbs of salmon

it was all just a guessing game with the spices really... no exact measurements tho sorry... i combined everything in a bucket with the one gal of water and some ice... my fridge at the time was too small to house the bucket... but the new one we just got... HAS ALL SORTS OF ROOM FOR ACTIVITIES!!!!!!!! i let it soak for about 4-5 hours then drained... rinsed... and patted the salmon dry... let it sit out for about an hour...
fired up the BBQ... kept the temp roughly 225... lined the grills with tinfoil... poked some holes... used alder wood chips for the smoke.... i would do about 2lbs at a time for roughly 1 1/2hrs... give or take a few due to the size of the cuts... i still have a pack sealed up in the fridge... its killing me not tearing it open and inhaling it
