Computer shooting

Postby jarbo03 » Wed Sep 26, 2012 3:26 pm

Finally squeezed a few off at my computer, amazed at how tough the exterior shell was. Forgot to take my turkey choke so all shots were fired through my new Wilson Precision tube in Mod. Pics were reversed through tapatalk,#1 and #3 should be switched.
First shot was 1 1/16oz steel#2 at 38 yds.

Uo next was 7/8oz. steel #4, I can handle this pattern.

After seeing neither round penetrated the shell decided to shoot a Hevi-13 #6, 1 5/8oz. Still no penetration, hard to believe.

This battle is not over, I will return with my HW15 turkey loads with proper choke and teach my computer a lesson.

Dang, I am surprised it stood up to that. Buckshot may be in that computers near future if the turkey load can't take it out.

#4 Buck or BB lead would buzz through it. I shot both at a folding steel chair and tore it to shreads. I am kinda suprised about the hevi shot though...maybe 4's would have went through.

I will send #7s through it. TSS should do the trick, will only shoot 1 of them, have some lead BB and 4buck to do the rest.

Did get the new scope on the .22 sighted in. Not bad for promo loads at 50 yds.

I should have you load me TSS turkey loads. Heard 9 shot is killer for a LONG ways.

Saw a video of a guy shooting a turkey at 60 yards with #12 shot TSS

TSS is amazing, way too pricey though. The small bit of #7 I have left is from when it was $24 a lb. A few years ago, after 2 frustrating days of chasing Rios, I watched a friend if mine drop a tom stone dead at 81 yds, almost all pellets were complete pass through.

24 a lb.!!!!!!!!!!!

Only if you could go back in time for a little investment. Last I looked it was about $6 a shell for a turkey load.

In the video with the 12 shot, there wad no blood visable. shot was so small it didnt open the skin enough for it to bleed, most of the pellets had passed through also.
