I was looking into driving down there to chase them this year. I have the tools, just not familiar with the area and public land. Snows blew through us last year in 4 days. Never got a chance to get on them.

Is it I have no idea.. I know theres a conservation season but the guy said this is as close to the peak as you can get..hope so..I am hooked 100% and I am months away from going.. Sent my check out so I have the date locked in..Wish I had friends who were into it as much as me.. Everyone I ask has now backed out and said they cant so we will be with another group but thats fine I just wanna grab the first one I shoot so I can get it mounted..and hope my son gets one as well I watched the guys videos on you tube and looks like a decent place to go..hey for $150.00 you cant go wrong I spent $5000.00 on elk hunt and came home with nothing so hope to just see some hope to get some on the ground but most of all have a great time spending time in a goose blind with my son..I would of killed to do that with my dad.. I just hope he has fun..

If he offers to do a sneak, take him up on it. You'll never have so much fun as creeping up on 5,000 snows and jumping them, blasting away. The time should be good- generally the later the better, at least down here.

also a good way to over limit. Allegedly (mind if I use this?)

x100 on the sneak. Did one in Mississippi and got five in two shots. First shot was a misfire.

I was shooting 3.5" 12g BB last winter for snows. But that's me. Shoot what you are comfortable with.

Just my 2 cents.

And I was shooting an IC choke. But I would shoot a mod. Didn't have the rest of my chokes with me so I shot what I had.

I've had my mod choke stuck in my gun for about 11 years. It's what I hunt with.

I think it was more me coming over the top of the ditch that spooked them.

That sucks. Ours is 25/day regular season no possession limit, and no bag limit or possession limit during conservation season, plugs not required.
