I would put all my waterfowl stuff in a pile and blow it up to get 30 yards from an animal like that.

No kidding. I think if I lived there and the two seasons conflicted ducks would be a secondary thought.

Rex just so you aren't confused this time that was a compliment. Great job on the Elk and most dudes here are jealous of the hunting life you've got going on.

That's the thing is our duck season is so long that I can get a few weeks of duck shooting before big game is here, then after big game get another month and a half of duck hunting done before the season closes.

What we did was a four prong trap. We knew there was some elk in this one little hole. My friend came in from the West, my brother from the east, my dad from the south, and myself from the north. My brother spooked the big bull that went by me. I hardly even seen the first bull when the second bull come running my ways. Coming my ways like a rocket. First shot I hit a tree, second shot I hit him high in the shoulder to stop him/drop him. Third shot put him down for good.

Froze my fucking nutsack off today so my little bro could get a chance at an elk. Made one hell of a shot on a fine cow.

Don't envy the cold work, but an elk in the freezer would be sweet.
