Yesterday

Decided to go scull a lake I hadn't been on all year. Right now it should be loaded with bluebills and canvasbacks...I saw a total of 5 bluebills and zero canvasbacks. This is, by FAR, the worst year I have ever seen on that lake. It was pretty much a duck desert, but I did manage to get a few...although I had to cover about 10 miles worth of water to do it. Definitely not enough birds on that body of water to interest me in going back. Oh well, you take what the lake will give you. Not a bad end result, but man are the ducks scarce there this year.
