Is this spot worth hunting opening day morning?
Those are wood ducks in the picture from about a month ago.

The tide will be the same as in the picture at first light.

I think this is a question you'll have to answer yourself. Not sure any of us can tell one way or another if it'll pan out for ya. Unless your pulling our leg and this whole thread is a joke (which is very likely), I'd recommend scouting it a few more times before the opener to see if those birds are consistently coming back to the same area

No trolling here.
I'm just questioning whether birds will want to land there.
You're right. I'll just have to do an early morning scout.

I've stopped trying to figure them out. Seriously. I just get it in my head that I'm going hunting, pick a spot, and go. Some days it works out, some days not so much. Birds are so notional, they're worse than women.

Tyler, it doesn't matter where you hunt Saturday, you're gonna fall asleep after working all night anyway. Crisscross a bunch of fishing line over your deeks and attach them at the end to empty pop cans. That way when they come in and land in your spread, they'll wake you and you can sluece them, right in your spread.
There should be loads of birds in your area this weekend. I've been watching them stack everywhere on this side of the river. The big waterhole next to your Grandpa's lease has about 500 ducks in it every day on my way home from work this past week.

I'm taking Friday night off so the worry is not falling asleep in the blind, but getting out of bed on time.
I'll be amped, so falling asleep on time will be tough as well.
How many decoys should I put out if I hunt the spot in the picture at that tide?

Tyler, you can probably pull a few ducks no matter what you do on opening day in that area but, the birds I'm seeing are all in groups of 100+.
How long do you want to hunt and how many deeks do you own?
The more deeks, the shorter the hunt. Make sure you leave holes in your spread for the birds to hit, in your shooting range.
