This sounds crazy but paint your new camo coats. Them fuckers GLOW no matter what pattern is on them. (serious)
They are made and designed to fool hunters into buying them. ;)

Again, the newer stuff glows and ducks will pick it out. Spray a dusting of flat camo black, brown, maybe some tan on and dull it down. I've seen at least a dozen guys do this to brand new coats, bags, blinds, etc.
Hide in the shadows and you'll be fine.

Original shadowgrass was my favorite pattern ever. It blended everywhere I went and multiple times people have "lost" me because of it. Then they decided to drop it, for who knows what reason. The new blades is NOT the same. I'm sure it's marketing. Make you buy new patterns or whatever.

I may well be the only one out here who prefers second generation Shadowgrass to the first: it's as good as it gets for our late season marsh and rice levees. Still wear a "new Shadowgrass" Drake pullover parka that never was waterproof and lost much of its wind resistance long ago because the camo's right for most of my waterfowling.

(Also preferred the quickly defunct "new Coke" to the original and switched to Diet to enjoy much the same taste when Coke went back to the nasty old crap.)

Perhaps it's a sign of your powerful trend setting influence - or how desperate Drake's become.

You can usually get some nice deals on discontinued patterns. If you like it so much, stock up on marked down gear! I know Mack's has been flooding me with emails of heavy discounts on the discontinued camo. Seems strange they'd now opt to bring it back. I've got an affinity for the original MO Shadowgrass and was able to get on some bargains when that was killed off.......then a couple of seasons later they brought it back before replacing it with the next generation of SG Rick mentioned.

I use two patterns. Advantage Max-4 and MO Shadow Grass.
Get mixed up and put on the wrong camo a lot! After noticing this I got where I where only wear one pattern and one garment. A Drake pullover in Max-4.

I wear that pullover around 50 days a season. Hunt in a blind so camo pattern dont matter if I'm being still. Heck I've killed limits in a red plaid flannel shirt before. Try it sometime!

They have the patent on old school camo (and basically anything that resembles it I guess). I wouldn't call that desperate, I'd call it conniving

I'm surprised they could patent something that's been around so long. But they're welcome to it.
