Not much to mention so far. Zero kills.

First day I got there I was sort of going aw fuck...there aint no ducks.
Went hunting anyway. Holy shit there were more rigs than I'm used to seeing but dealt with it anyway.
The hole I usually use was occupied so I went down the boat lane a ways to a "hole" that's literally on the boat lane. It's ok because the ducks use them lanes too. Could have pass shot wood ducks many times but was being polite because there was at least 8 or 9 people within a couple hundred yards. I need to start shooting more.

Second day sucked. Third day the ducks were wayyy up high.

There's so much pressure the ducks are acting funny. They weren't getting up at sunset to go feed like usually but were waiting until dark dark and not a lot of vocalization like usual. The buffleheads showed up there in numbers while I was there.
Friday none....Sunday there was a huge flock. They winter at a certain lake I camp at.
Whole lot of boring to report.

Bummer about the large crowd AB. 8 or 9 people hunting within a couple hundred yards sounds more like our delta :( Hopefully, your weekday hunting won't be so crowded, and allow you some time to scout out some out of the way places.

There was a lot of trees between us. If I didn't know they were there I probably would not notice them until they shot. There are three holes all within a circle of about 300 yards. Not stacked up like you're thinkin.

Rainy Brake is totally like what you're thinking tho.

Got my decoys all January'd up n ready. Painted the white parts last night after the picture got took.
The heads glow because I used fluorescent green to glue the flocking on. Damn they're bright and look good. Them old flambeaus are 30+ years old.
No more mojos so got me a jerk-a-spreader.

Selling honey left n right. Must've been meant to be here. Sold 5 gallons in two days.
There's a bicycle club and they make this stuff called "goo" out of it.
Grabbing some other supplies while I'm here, Friday night the grandson is here, then Saturday I'm splitting til end of second split. lol

Third split...spose to meet the CCC gang at Dave Donaldson WMA. Still a whole lot of duck season left.
That ooser license aint cheap. I'll get my money's worth. ;)

Too late. Sent Mrs Betty to the parts store while I took failed part off.

I have a buddy who is taking some sort of auto classes at Parkland.
He was telling me about how his class split up into two groups and were taking alternators off two different cars.
Said his group was done and had put theirs back on in 40 minutes so the teacher said do the windshield wiper motor real quick.
The other group...lol
Stuck and was asking to get this...cut the belt because they could not figure out how to get it off.

My buddy (Mark) walks over and asked team #2 what tool they use every day that they aren't using.
Uhhhh...these are young college kids who have trouble communicating so finally he said, "get out your phones and look up on youtube how to take the belt off this year, make, and model car". "Then the alternator".

That's pretty much what I do when I need to fix something on a car. There are how-to videos galore.

It should be said that I did not shoot my gun in arkansas last season.
Went thru the motions for a few days and said fuck it.
Could have probably tree-topped some wood ducks but I prefer to decoy birds and then shoot them on the way back out of the hole. It's easier to retrieve them that way.
Here are the pictures. All of them.

Bummer AB, that's a lot of money to spend for aggravation!
