Looking at the drought map shows that N.D. is in the midst of a severe drought. If you are planning a trip there this year you may want to rethink your options..................

I'm still heading up... That just means if you can find the water you'll find the birds... Best bet is to stay away from the Devils Lake area and you'll also avoid the hunters... I'm heading out for cranes and a tundra swan... I can't shoot'em in WI so I'll have to make it work...

Well how did you do? From all the reports I have read a lot of guys didn't do squat and don't plan on going back. I had a crappy trip in 2011 and haven't been back since then................

Sorry for the long hiatus... new babies have a way of changing priorities real quick!

As for NoDak it was bad and I mean real bad... no problems with permissions but every hole I’d hunted in the past was dried up and it was hotter than hell, 65 degrees! We shot a 2 man limit one day and then only 3 other birds.... geese were nonexistent.

We packed it up and headed home 3 days early. I’ll go back, you can’t help what Mother Nature does.

For me it was worth the price of gas spending 5 days out there with my dad.

Congrats to you and, especially, the lady who did the work on the new family addition.
