Would this be smartweed? A google image search makes me want to say yes, but I'm not 100% sure.

Yeah, that is a pretty bad photo. I had my 2yr old with me scouting, so between trying to keep her out of the water and take photos...I didn't do a good job at either, lol

Just resend some better pictures when you put the papoose down and have a chance to get serious. Not a biggee.

If you notice at the joint where the leaf attaches to the stem there is a unique sheath in most smartweeds that makes for quick ID to the Genus level. There are many many species of smartweeds.

Maybe this is a better pic. Except this has white flowers, the other pink.
