Duck blind prayer

Postby Ricky Spanish » Tue Nov 10, 2020 8:46 am

Not real religious but ill admit that I've uttered these words alone many many times while sitting alone talking to myself in the blind.
Let us pray.

"God...I wish there were more ducks here".

Can anyone admit to being so selfish and not praying for world peace and a speedy end to the virus?
I'm a sinner. God I pray for world peace and speedy end to the virus AND DUCKS TOO. 8-)

Ricky Betty
I had forgot about your wife's surgery. I'm not a very good stalker. But in all seriousness, I'll be thinking about you two tomorrow. Best wishes and prayers go out to both of you!

Its different.
Im.pretty sure they're keeping me isolated so I don't freak out. If I go nuts itd affect everyone. Probably best.
If I get involved rational thought goes out the window and emotion happens. Hate admitting it but I'm an emotional little guy. Usually anger.

She got home and looks way better. Was white. Color back. Turns out her mri was yesterday she's was kinda high and forgot it'd been done. Im hunting. Its mighty windy.
Not sure how common or uncommon it is but she is the breadwinner. I own property and stuff but in reality cash poor, land rich. Its a thing.
It would suck bad to lose my wife. Thanks. Keep it up plz.

Glad to she looks better, hope she recovers quickly and compete. Best wishes to you and your family.

Good luck and be safe. It's really windy up here. I was definitely not sitting in a tree stand in this weather. Debated on going ducks. Had my high wind plan and then they added a little more rain in the forecast and my brain said the entire club is killing one duck per day. I sat the alarm for 7:30. Feel good after my first good night of sleep in 2 weeks. Knock off some honey-do list items and good to get back at it tomorrow for a couple more weeks.

Lots of people have trouble constructing a prayer. I suppose sometimes it's hard to know what to say to the Creator.

Here's a simple acronym to remember that'll help you construct a great prayer.

A - Adoration - Give praise to God in Heaven who created everything and knows you by name.
C - Contrition - Acknowledge your sins and be heartily sorry for them.
T - Thanksgiving - Be thankful for all you have been given.
S - Supplication - Ask of God for what you want and what you need.

I pray for others and almost never for myself the only things I need are truth, understanding, and strength to cope.
