Think you all can handle it?
It will either be boring bad or boring good.
Pics of 4 dead greenheads gets boring pretty quick.
Reports of DNS too.
Ive got many pics and could fake it...

What do you want. Truth or pretty lies?

My blind is meant for somewhere else and kind of stands out a wee bit.

I’ve seen much worse AB. I like that you included the hull in the pic. Let’s us know you shoot the hevi stuff and it only took you one shot!

Hevi X:

I patterned it out of 4 chokes in that a390st.
Not that good so I cut a shell.
They're #4.
Not uniform size at all with tiny ones stuck to larger ones like little snowmen. Not good.
I cut a #4 winchester expert and surprise...nice uniform round and looked real good so ...
I'll shoot the hexi x but not again.
Its expensive and kicks. Im used to soft shooting

Appears you are hidden well enough AB! Sucks about the pellets on the Hevi loads being out of round (dem Mallets must've been close),and stuck together, kinda like Federal shells when Steel was first introduced, and hard to find a true round pellet in the load. Good move to cut a shell and expose the shot to realize. Aren't the Hevi shells more expensive too? Will a magnate pick up a hevi shot? I bought several of those rare earth magnets last year (great gifts for other duck hunters, and they are cheap), and found that two duck fillets I was getting ready to cook, that I "knew" I had cleaned well and reamed out with a toothpick, actually lifted up with only one #4 steel shot in each. I will never cook another duck without making a pass over it with the magnate now. A cheap, but great investment!! Good Luck with the rest of your hunt!

Theyre not TSS. I hunt every day nearly.
Just warming up if there are wood ducks.
I'll check these birds. The drakes getting gumbo'd.
Killed it up close. Hen was straight up about 25 yards. Had em tight. Third shot killed hen. First stoned drake. Both DOA.

DE - They will definitely be worth the minimal investment. Also, just realized I misspelled magnet above

AB, glad you are killing a few quality birds, and hope they keep trickling in!

The other day I scouted. This year I'm looking for three things.
1. Ducks
2. Hard bottoms that I can wade that are not goo
3. Ive learned to identify trees. Ive found a cedar brake.

Two days ago I cruised the coves I hunt and it hit me. The only oak trees are by that dead tree.
Behind me on the ground is the best bait you can use.
Acorns. Pin oaks.

I'm getting where im naming spots. North hole is for north winds etc. Makes it easy to pick a spot by the wind.

Nice pic

I love the sunrises and sunsets. One interesting thing this year is I think I've only had 2 or 3 impressive sunrises or sunsets in the 40+ days I've been in the outdoors at sunrise or sunset.

Attached the supports front and rear. Thumb screws. Height is adjustable. Note the custom hardware. Its nuts welded onto conduit and the front is spring-loaded

The sides are curtains made with gore tex fabric.
Velcro at the corners. Hard cover made of OSB. Has mesh and raffia matt attached to lid. It works ok. Ive seen better.

Hard cover was brilliant. Had little flap things that blew off or got burnt by propane heat. The lid holds heat in too.
To enter or exit simply lift the side up and set it on the roof.

Nice having portability and setting up where you choose each day!
As far as naming holes, we've been doing it for years, and nice because only those in the know, are aware of your location. Learned the hard way early in life.......A tells B.....B tells C........and before you know it, you can never hunt your honey hole again :(
