Felt good to

Date: 1/10

Time: Met at Ramp 4:15 a.m.

Location: Upper Tensaw River Management Area

Cloud Cover: Clear as a bell, lot's of stars

Wind Direction and Velocity: North, very light early, picking up to around 15 mph as the morning progressed

Temperature: 28 at launch

Moon phase:

Special Notes: Nothing like a brother hunt. I have several, and we all grew up hunting together, but don't often get the chance.

Waterfowl Activity: Woodrow ate us up

Waterfowl Responsiveness: Several other groups in nearby area, but we were on the X this morning

Hunters: David and myself

Guns: M2 and SBE

Malfunctions: None

Dog(s): None

Special Equipment:

Curses: Limit is only 3 ea., and even though we waited for good shooting light before starting, the hunt was over way to soon

Kudos: David brought his boat grill and after the hunt, we picked up all traces of our presence, got out of the area, and found a sunny riverbank to cook some link sausage. Coupled it with light bread, yellow mustard, and a cold beer, and were all smiles. Felt good to watch those Woodies eat us up, never gets old!

Birds By Species: 6 Woodies (3 and 3)

Photo Ops: none

Lagniappe: First scotch double of the year on a pair of drakes
