Never really thought ppl online would want honey but they do. Believe it or not a refuge member tracked me down to get some more. The one I'm working on now lives in Macomb, Illinois.

Four pounds at the front is yours. Nice n warm. Surrounded by a platoon of bears.

Lately them bears have been moving.
We had 6 dozen.
Thanks man.

That one lonely jar with the silver cap is unstrained capping honey. I save a jar for me. We sell the rest and eat some on barbecue. We taste-test it always for quality control.
If it gets past my wife it's plenty good..

*****flash******
Today is a good day.
Found everything I was hunting for right away.
Acetone....check.
Went to home depot to get gorilla tape to fix my waders boot. (Has a crack where it bends).
Found the tape easy.
Got home and my rock auto, made in Taiwan, mirror was on the porch. Fits perfectly.
I patched my wader boot like a car tire.
Buy lotto tickets guys.
It's that kind of day. 8-)

This works believe it or not. Got idea off refuge. A guy said flex tape works.
All I could find was gorilla at the Blytheville Walmart. It held for 10 month then I tore it off and put new on.
Clean with acetone first.

Still steaming from what seems to be normal human behavior. We sell honey in person which means generally that a customer has to set a time.
We set the place...a US Post Office has lots of cameras.
People will spend 45 minutes texting to nail us down where we wait on them. Busy busy u know.
Last night it happened AGAIN.
Miss Busy wants honey, sets us up, let's us down, and an hour later realizes it. The sweet apology was so sweet I choked on it.
I can't even reply to the poor lady..she wasted over an hour of my life over a pint of honey that she won't be getting because I'm not going thru another hour like that again for a week or so.
It's about 50:50.
Champaign is full of flaky liberal time bandits..

I searched two farm stores and three auto parts stores for this item.
image_12482.jpg

Finally I gave up and used Google.
Harbor Freight?
I'd bet that I got what I have at autozone.
All they have now is stuff to tape up your broken lens.
I use that reflector stuff on my truck, boat, and trailer.
It's kind of discreet but lights up at night if you shine a light. I've got it on my boat motor in case my lights go out.

I named them Milo and Millet.
Have gotten some odd looks over it.
Millet and ducks go together like bacon and eggs.

You need two dish rags.
Soak them in kerosene and tie them around your ankles so the sweet ants don't bite your candy ass.

This year's gonna be good.
There are newbs that think they can roll in 30 minutes b4 lst and not have troubles. So far three boats in the last 15 minutes raced by. They're a little late.
Shoot in about 20 minutes.

Today for the hell of it I checked my license and stamp.
Gasp....stamp not signed!?!
So I pulled a pen out of my blind bag-box thing.
Add that to your list of things in your bag.
A pen and maybe a sharpie too in case you run into Phil Robertson out there...

If a few ants is all it takes to bother your soft marshmallow ass, you need to man up and grow thicker skin, boy. Have you ever heard of deep woods OFF? Kerosened rags....what a hoot....is a clove of garlic next?

There were birds despite me saying there weren't.
The lily pads I set up in before is the place to be but it's a sun in your eyes spot.
I hunted by the thumb tack cross I put on a tree a couple years ago. They think I'm nuts for hunting where i do.
I'm not the only one to use that spot in the last 35 years.
It sort of sticks out if you really study the shoreline the way I have.
We did a lot of swimming trips to find where the bottom is hard and that cross marks the spot. Everywhere else has a foot of muck.

News...the north fork has silted up so bad that you can't drive a boat to the meadows anymore.

Pardon me for this but for the holidays we do gift sets with two jars like this. One light and one dark.
Summer and fall honey.
The fall crop is going to actually happen this year I can smell it.
It'd be wrong not to offer it to my online pals.
The ladies go ape over these things.

I'd say, "hell yes".
I keep shooting the eyes out of ducks with them.

Converted the pulsator from mallard drake to Muscovy or something. I needed more visibility, we’ll see if I get more looks this season.

That's a good idea imo.
I use pintail decoys in timber to get more white in the spread. Bluebils r better I bet.

If you look at a 40 year old cabelas ad magazine you'd find "puddle packs" meant for mallard hunters.
They had 12 mallard, 12 bluebill, and a pair of duck butts along with rigging, weights, and a mesh bag.
I always wondered why they put divers in a puddle pack.
Try it youll.like it.

I’ve thought about going with a six pack of buffies. That would stick out like a sore thumb in the swamp.
