Took a while to decide to publish such effed up video but @3:45 or around there a wood duck comes in to where it's about 10 yards in front of the blind.
Sorry it's all sideways my phone must've been cold and the thing stuck.
Has Millet retrieving in shallow water.
That's rare for us.
My other phone had a video editor app but I can't figure out which one.

Inside its three connections.

Starter came right after I posted the anxiety video.
I put it in. Tested it and the button stuck "on".
Had to fiddle with it but got it working right.
Wheee. I'm going tomorrow.
South wind @ 15-20.
Glad I stayed home or I'd be too tired to mess with the starter.

Sigh... that ain't a gonna work main. Hide under the bows of pin oak trees next to the dead tree. If someone is there the South side of lake has lots of good places to hide a rig.
South wind. Ducks will be hiding along the shore in fallen trees at waters edge in general.

Speaking of oak trees the only acorns I've seen were at a rest area by rend lake and my front yard.
Too dry...no nuts.

I've set up by that tree so many times I know exactly how to set the decoys. (In the water not on the shore works best)

Horseback hunting?
I thought about it and ...
I could see it now. I'm on the ground moaning about my leg or something being broken. Collarbone probably.
My nice Beretta is bent to hell ...
More moaning.
Horse ran off you need to go catch your horse.

Which one if you is dragging me to the road so the ambulance can find me?

I'd rather jump out of an airplane thanks.

I should’ve went chase ducks this morning. Looks like I have some warm, skeeter filled mornings until the first split ends. Hell, I might just wait until it reopens in two weeks. Probably chase after deer with the AR-15, just to please brandon and the powers that be.

Just about everyone doing it has fallen off before. I did two years ago at Christmas trying to catch a horse that was walking off while still atop mine. Luckily I had a big coat on, broke my fall a little. No damage. Dad’s horse started bucking last year. Dads rodeo days kicked in and all was fine till the saddle girth broke and dad came off saddle and all. No injuries for him either. He’d had back pain for the previous ten years. None after that fall. Best chiropractor he’s ever been to.

Last time I jumped off.
My buddies and I volunteered to clean the stall and they got the bright idea that I was going to ride Coleen's Arabian. Was a set up.
No saddle or bridle just hop on.
I humored them and I knew what was coming.
The first time around the barn I had to push it by using my pretend spurs. Second lap it took off full speed for the big concrete Trough so I bailed. Now go catch your sister's horse.

More complete randomness:
Right now is the only time a sweet gum tree is desirable. Decent fall colors for a messy tree.

Tell your gum tree that fall is over in two and a half weeks.

Allegedly, according to science, burning beeswax candles kills the beer bug.
J/k
That candle takes 8 ounces of bees wax. Not exactly small.

Oh my.
I sort of laughed when I got asked what I'd prefer on the issue of moving the opener to after Thanksgiving.
My reaction was "what the fuck?!?"
along with " this is none of my non-resident business".
They actually are going to do it next season.

https://www.grandviewoutdoors.com/water ... 0and%20Dec.

After digesting the change and analyzing I like it!.
Big Lake dont flood the wma until the very last second to accommodate deer hunters and maybe turkey too. I dunno.
Moving the opener to after Thanksgiving would allow for more deer hunting and a chance to flood the wma a bit better by the duck opener. Seems good to me.

Speaking of deer i haven't seen one down there. Usually I have to watch out for them around the tall grassy area I camp by. Not this year. It's so dry.
I can't wait to get back there to the refuge.

Tomorrow looks more better.
WNW at 17mph is much more manageable than 30+.
Once it hits 30 my blind gets flappy and screw that.

My father and I both read this and commenced to

A story by Betty?
No way.
My dad and I used to hunt at a pay to hunt place or two.
He had loot so it's what he liked doing.
I rode along cuz mom said sorta thing.
One day we were at the club near Robert's, IL.
It's still there but got swanky. They do English style tower shoots now. Pricy it always was.
We were hunting the edge of the property because wild birds would wander onto the game farm.
We were hunting tame ones that'd been released.
I saw the bird go into this tiny bush ITS RIGHT THERE!!!
My dad didn't believe me so I kicked that bush with rage for about 10 minutes while he stood there laughing and telling me that "you're just high".
I was angry of course and finally gave it up and that's when the rooster flew We both missed and laughed.
I'll never forget that damn bird.
We shot a lot of birds at that club..
$25 each and that's when a tank of gas was 20 bucks.

I've got hundreds of these dumb stories.
My uncles would go with us it was aways a ton of gun because no matter what ...if we had shells at the end they'd find something to shoot until we ran out of beer and shells. There was one guy I forget his full name...Tom. He used full choke and magnum shells and was constantly shooting a big hole clean thru whatever he shot. Serious he'd shoot a rabbit and only find half a bunny.

Nobody called Sodom a great place to raise your kids . Even after it was destroyed nobody Said "good old Sodom" and sighed.
I can't find my small bore.
Im.going to have to admit it today and beg for another and them of course I'll find it.
I've been hunting for days and no luck.
Small bore where are you?
That black throwback is extra loud and will hurt you.

The learning curve on making candles is a little steep. The wax has to be just right temp.
I freeze the molds.
By the 4th or 5th one I'll have this down.
16700710913859160382345050571721.jpg

Wax wasn't hot enough on second one. Too hot on first.
It appears like about 170f is right for that mold.

Why bother with bees wax candles?
I researched it and discovered why churches use at least 50% bees wax in their candles.
When you burn a beeswax candle it creates ions. (Science again) Negatively charged particles.
They attach to the positively charged things floating in the air. Dust for example.
They combine and gain enough density to where it falls out of the air. This means burning beeswax candles cleans the air? Yup.
Science. For real if I burn a candle all the floaties in the air go bye bye. In winter our furnaces move the dust around and charge it up too.

Sorry to burst your bubble but if you hand Logan an air rifle he can't focus on the sights and target at same time he is vision and mentally challenged. I tried teaching him until he was sick of it. His little brother however just figured it out himself with no coaching and then he grabbed the air rifle with scope and let out a squeal of delight.
Elliott is going to be the duck hunter.
He's got calls that his parents keep hidden.
Every time I see Elliott he asks if I have a duck call to try.
He's mini-me with hair.

Some day I'll get him to an Arkansas barber shop.

Emmett is a bruiser. Elliott and Emmett are 2 years apart in age but are the same size. Emmett is 3 and Elliott is 5.
Emmett is turning into a good looking kid.
If you see him with clothes on .
