Must be an amazingly tough job to get stuff right. Do you think a weather observer would go outside and take a look around and adjust the forecast.

When you click on the current weather are you see for today is clouds clouds clouds.

When you step outside and look all you see is sun sun sun

I stopped trusting the weather forecast many many years ago. As a coyote hunter I depend on a good Wind forecast. Not only direction but how hard it will be blowing. Can’t tell you how many times I chose not to go hunting because it was forecasted to blow crazy wind just too step outside at some point during the day and there is barely a breeze. Or see several days of no wind so I take those days off and then it’s blowing my socks off. I especially love it when they say the wind is coming from the north so I plan which coyote spots I will call to just to get there and it’s coming straight from the south. With all the forecast models out there and The ability to actually step outside and see what’s going on and with all the technology I really wouldn’t think it would be as hard as it is for them to get it correct. Run on sentence intentional!

Weather Underground is about the most reliable tool that I have found.

I suspect that the forecasting is, well they're trying.
For 18-24 hours they actually forecast but from day 2 on they're just putting up what average for that day is.
So they predict average weather in the extended and then they edit as time passes.
Along with this is the fact that Adam wants to compare what he's seeing on his phone to your memory from two days ago. We had it out over this stuff.
Weatherman is like a demigod. You can believe him or not.

I got your clouds and rain all week long

Weather was the great adventure of my Capt. Rick phase. The marine reports would begin indicating current seas of one size and end with radically different weather buoy readings.

Somewhere it's cloudy.
A local forecast isn't that local.
Example: an 80% chance of rain means 80% of the state will get rain.

Not in this state. We have hour by hour localized forecasts.

My next door neighbor was an air force meteorologist.
He filled my head with some shit.
Note to self: don't even bother talking to a meteorologist. They can be wrong most of the time and still get paid.

I won't see the sun for at least 15 days.
So enjoy it.

Unless your wife has you handcuffed in a closet I think you will. These clowns can’t even get hour by hour correct they definitely won’t get 15 days correct

Exactly. They already changed everything and they say it'll be sunny on sun day.
