Freeze Dryers

Any of you have a freeze dryer for your food? We usually have a pretty big garden and I think it would be useful for that but we already can a lot of stuff. Honestly don’t think I’ve ever eaten freeze dried food so just curious about it. Flavor, texture, quality… I don’t even know what questions to ask.
